Volunteering
We are looking for support in lots of different areas, from driving minibuses and helping to care for the reserve or to working in the library.
We also need support with admin, marketing, within our education department, delivering activities and workshops to children and families, data collation and analysis, we may start a community garden to grow food for the Centre… the list goes on!
By volunteering you can really make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteer Placements and Long-Term Volunteering
We have lots of different long term volunteering opportunities that can be a great stepping stone into careers within the sector. Volunteer placements usually last for approximately six weeks and long term volunteering can be for up to six months.
Volunteer Yourself
This only requires you to do your best, to concentrate on the job in hand, and to make a difference to build a strong, happy and harmonious community. We’re trying this out at the Centre through engaging visiting residential groups in eco-campaigns like recycling and supporting their own residential experience.
You can easily Volunteer Yourself through:
- Litter picks
- #2minutebeachclean
- Recycling
- Citizen Science Monitoring Projects
- Making time for a cuppa with others
- Sharing your knowledge
